Detail oriented Senior Program Manager with experience delivering results in open source communities. Leader with the ability to develop and improve processes to create alignment around values through compassionate service. Multi-talented and industrious community architect with a gift for thoughtful, diligent, communication.
What propelled me into the world of tech? A Fedora Project Badges design internship through the Outreachy program with a mentor that empowered and believed in me. After six years of contributing to Fedora as a volunteer (and picking up other skills along the way), I had the opportunity to support the community full time as a Community Architect. This first role in tech didn’t just help me strive to become an accomplished professional, it pushed me to thrive as a community leader.
I came to realize that I was a leader who could bring order to chaos, with a focus on perspective, trust, and empathy. My inclination for emotional and analytical intelligence helps me link people with facts, influence with thoughtfulness and support, and provide reliable and diplomatic management. I am people driven, with a disposition to serve, to patiently understand diverse perspectives, and to help to bring clarity.
Mentorship brought me to where I am today and continues to be close to my heart. Watching others grow makes my soul happy and provides me with immense gratification. So much so, that for the last four years, I mentor without pay through the Outreachy program.
